here's some of my ideas for moves...

First I would consider disbanding 10th NKVD @ Mokraya the two T34's would come in some where else and be more usefull than loosing them there.

I would consider doing this on STZ North take a 4-5 squads on a defensive position with MG's to knock down running men. I would launch a major attack on a position he probally would not have well guarded using the other 10 squads, we have supply on this map holding any vl so it would not matter which vls we loose. If we catch them off guard we can put them in a serious bind by trying to run and catch us before we take to much. I mean really what do we have to loose?

Red Oct West You must protect the Lazur VL AT ALL COST!!!! we then swap BG's back and forth hoping to wear down there BG.

Meat Plant now this is high risk move I would disband the BG sitting here and move the BG 189th tank brigade in on top of them. This must be a disband there deploy will be minnimal and they have been out of supply for a while. There BG MUST GO IT IS CAUSING PROBLEMS!

We can attack Ovrashnaya with the guards only taking a small portion of ground or at least the meat plant vl. The following turn we move the 189th back to Ovrashnaya and the guards tank bg back to flight school.

Barracks hill keep working on disbanding them it does not have to be a disband in one round.

Stadium is a huge problem you must keep Doligy Gully vl at all cost it is the most Vital to keep them from cutting Barracks hill. 2nd and still very important is protecting Fallen fighter square to keep them from cutting our Kvs

all other maps must be fought as best as possible but are likely to be lost at some point. the key though is killing tanks and infantry heres the moves.

Loki

Good attack plan, my center attack plan is almost the same. Thank you for the strat moves Comrade Colonel!

Final moves:

Disband: 10th NKVD @ Mokraya as Loki suggests. We'll use T34s for counterattack elsewhere with supply.

Keep 35 Guards on Kuporosnoye in Southeast. It will be hard to survive (medal if you do) but they won't spawn anywhere else due to a bug. If we can survive maybe we will move to grain elevator (if we have that vl) and cut supply to his panzers in ferry landing. You can use anything you need to survive (Ifoko will try hard to disband you, others might not try quite as hard).

One change: Put arty on Red Oct West (where his pz bg will move, drop arty on his deploy) instead of 6 Guards Tanks (moving to ovrashnaya)

Map objectives 24th am:

STZ North: The 3 story building in the middle between the Construction Hall vl and the Switchyard makes an excellent defensive position that is hard for the Germans to get thru. Last turn I killed or injured 50 german troops there (35 killed by our 2 hero teams). Try to defeat any attacks he does here and in the south and if you can crush him counterattack and reclaim some factories toward the end of the battle. You can also try Loki's plan above.

Red Oct West: you must protect the Lazur VL AT ALL COST!!!! we need to be able to swap BG's back and forth hoping to wear down there BG as Loki states.

Meat Plant:

Disband the german bg. He has a StugF and a Stug E. Destroy him now this turn. Your deploy is excellent and his is small crush him commander!! Make sure you surround him and don't let him get the vl to Meat Plant (but really, you need to disband him). Drop arty on his deploy if he is spreading to the east too fast, and even better on his Stug F if you spot it right away. Use plenty of tanks of course and recon with infantry to find his at guns. Time to get our tanks some experience....

Ovrashnaya: follow Loki's plan: We can attack Ovrashnaya with the guards only taking a small portion of ground or at least the meat plant vl. The following turn we move the 189th back to Ovrashnaya and the guards tank bg back to Shooting Range. (Recommend using infantry to take the meat plant vl - keep our tanks safe).

Barracks hill: keep working on disbanding them it does not have to be a disband in one round. Drop arty on his towed 88 and/or Pz IVG. Do not risk T34 attack unless your arty does good damage and you have spotted his marders/at guns/panzers with recon infantry.

Stadium: hold Doligy Gully vl at all cost it is the most Vital to keep them from cutting Barracks hill. 2nd and still very important is protecting Fallen fighter square to keep them from cutting our Kvs. Hold the 3 exit vls, find his Pz IVG and/or towed 88s and drop arty on them. If you do a lot of damage, you may attack but there isn't a rush just hold onto the exit vls and whittle away at his panzers.

Kuporonsnoye: hold vl (north one) too grain elevator at all costs if you spawn there. Check deploy before fighting. If you don't start with grain elevator exit vl, start with 1 sniper and 0 other teams and let germans disband you. If you have no sniper, pick a shitty team Smile

Southern Ferry Terminal: Hold your supply vl at all costs, try to kill or damage some panzers even with explosives, grenades, ptrds, or air. Use rush attack on panzers if they get too close to buildings. Tough one, good luck. Pz IVG are especially good targets - kill them if u can. Pz III won't be much use vs KVs but PzIVG can hurt them easier.

Make sure you do the final moves posted above. Good luck.

One point, check our status in Flight School, if we have not played another battle after me that map is very hard not to get disbanded here.

we have, but good point. I moved in a new bg and held 1 turn, took some buildings. It will still be hard to hold our supply vl (they have 2 stugs) so Loki and I agreed we need full support there.

i agree that it is a difficult map to hold but its a risk worth trying for our options are running out. Take only the best infantry and support to the fight, and hold nothing back! it's a fight for our survival!

IT'S A FIGHT FOR STALINGRAD!!!!!!!!!! Smile

Also the key is catching them off guard, it's the second battle so if we can get the battle in before they switch players or talk things over it could help us. As the player playing will not know what needs to be done, so try getting at least two or three battles in so they can not discuss whats going on. Confusion is our friend!

if nobody want's to fight it, I will fight it! I can't promise I can hold but I can promise that I will kill many Germans in the process! Wink

It can be done. Weefunk didn't try to disband me there last time.

Ifoko is a pretty good strat commander but I have noticed from asking Kassad and Ghoa and Weefunk that he doesn't post many map objectives (neither do I most times, get too busy). But regardless, that helps us as many times his men don't know how much he wants certain things done.

If you play weefunk he won't know that Ifoko will want us disbanded there (he might still try, but not as hard as Ifoko or Ghoa will).

They have 2 Stugs - if we use our support wisely we can hold, with some luck and some really lucky ptrds/at guns Smile

Good luck comrades!

Bjorn

Well fella's I completed the mission on the maps in question all objectives met.

Bjorn i did make one minor adjustment in support I gave Red Oct East the Kats instead of STZ East. Red Oct East faces a much stiffer challenge and that map is vital to our interior, so......... I gave them the Kats and Artillery which you had already assigned.

Please don't Court Martial Me! Wink

VL point values for each map.

I want to break thru in Ovrashnaya and Flight School and push west and north with the 2 tank bgs and 2 Guards Inf bgs.

We can cut supply to their bgs in the north with some hard attacks to sever their supply lines.

Updated Map objective 24th AM:

Germans attacked Tsarita Crossings KV bg with an infantry bg.

Contain at a minimum but try to disband them. Watch out don't group your KVs too close, they will probably have full support.
