Captain Loki (then a Lieutenant) is awarded the Distinguished Service Order for his actions on the morning of June 6th, 1944 at Utah Beach.

He took out an 88mm at gun in close combat without use of support (tanks, naval) and also secured a bunker and the exit vl to Quinneville.

Congrats! Nice work. That is a very impressive attack on a key map.

June 6th am

I start crawling toward the bunker on the northside heading towards the Quinneville VL. I take plenty of Rifle Squads by the time he realizes my assault is coming its to late. I am on his flank and securing the Quinnville VL. He inflicted good casualties with mortars and and ATG in the building to the south of the bunker. I took out an 8.8 with close combat it was beautiful. It was fun to get this going, next time we fight here we can bring a couple of tanks like stuarts and mine clearing tanks.
